My Family and the Wolf - Backgrounds


This film created by Nectarious Films (Christine Ponzevera) has not yet been released but I am so excited to see it come out! I will do another blog post about this once it is released. For now, let's talk about the color palette and the backgrounds (thus far).


First of all, Summer. The aesthetic of this film is deliciously warm and sun-kissed. The color palette contains warm, golden tones and soft brush strokes; there are no harsh contour lines. There is an innocence about the entire design, and a lot of it seems to be shot from a low angle perspective inviting the audience along to experience the film as a child with the other children.



The lighting is absolutely stunning; the reflection off of trees and leaves creates a gentle translucent color similar to water colors. Here is a trailer for the film:
