Captain Character - Wooden Armature

We began by drawing the body parts of our character out on a plank of wood, after which we carved out those parts and sanded them down so the edges were smooth.

After the body parts had been sanded, I drilled connector holes into each side of the limbs and began to attach them together with the use of some pretty weak glue and wire.

I found that the main issue with assembling the armature was the weakening of the parts as soon as they were drilled. And unfortunately, the glue did not do a good job of holding the pieces together so I resorted to wrapping wooden Dave in masking tape.

On the bright side, little wooden Dave could stand on two feet without any help!
