This short animation was created as a tribute to Mary Blair, a well known animator who worked as a concept artist at Disney studios. Mary Blair was known for her distinctive style that didn't necessarily fit the Disney 'mold'. However, it is believed that Mary Blair was one of Disney's favorite artists at the company.
In this short animation, Mary is shown into the 'Disney garden' where everything seems to be very controlled and specific. As soon as she enters, she begins to spread her inspiration everywhere and Disney is more inclined to tame her creations. As a compromise, he allows her to be creative in a large green house.
The 'square' garden. I do like this style as well. The contrast between the two, the tamed and the untamed is very distinct.

In terms of Animation, the sequences in which Mary is creating colorful flowers are particularly impactful; the motion of Mary's body followed by the motion of the flowers has a very convincing 'cause and effect' element.
One of the Character designers and concept artists on this project, Cécile Carre briefly explains the animation below:
"Mary Blair is hired to work in Walt Disney’s gigantic and rigorously maintained garden. As he welcomes her and invites her to get to work, she starts producing plants magically. Although he is amazed, Walt cannot refrain from correcting and toning down Mary’s work behind her back… - Cécile Carre"
I really like the character design and concept art for this animation. The characters do resemble the artists they are based on but maintain a unique aesthetic and individuality as cartoon characters. The shapes of their bodies are also very distinct and exaggerated.
